Experience and Levels
Experience is gained mostly by slaying mobs, though quests and world-defined rewards can also grant it. Reaching the next threshold raises your character’s level.
Group rewards
Section titled “Group rewards”When a grouped player defeats a mob, only player members of that group who are in the same room receive a share. Each additional eligible member adds 30% of the mob’s base experience to the group’s total pool, which is then divided evenly. Gold is divided evenly without that additional pool, and final shares are rounded up.
This is a collective group bonus, not 30% extra experience for every individual. See Playing Together for the exact formula, examples, and group workflow.
Default experience table
Section titled “Default experience table”The experience table for a default world has two values for each level:
- Experience required: the total experience required to reach the given level.
