Mob items

Mobs can spawn with items in their inventory. They equip any items they can use; everything else remains in their inventory and becomes available from their corpse when they die.

There are two ways to load items onto a mob when it spawns: mob inventory and random loads.

Use mob inventory to load items from templates that a builder has created. In the Load Items section, search for a template in the Item Template field, set its load chance, and choose how many copies to load.

Random loads are a quick way to add equipment to a world without designing each item.

Each configured random item rolls independently. A successful roll creates equipment at the mob’s level that is imbued or enchanted; unsuccessful rolls mean the mob may receive fewer than Number of Items.

To enable them, select Loads Random Items, then configure the random-drop parameters:

Field Meaning
Number of Items How many random items to load.
Load Specification Restricts which kinds of equipment may load. If omitted, any kind of equipment can be generated.
Chance to Drop The chance that the item loads on the mob.
Chance Enchanted The chance that the item is enchanted, granting 20% more stats than an imbued item.

See Items for item-template fields, Loading for loader rules that target spawned mobs, and Mobs overview for the rest of the mob template.
